ESDS
Lounged for most of the morning reading The Wars by Timothy Findley (which I have been meaning to do for 4 years now). Headed out around 10:30 and got to the Calton Centre by 11- an hour early. So I hung out until the people from ESDS (Edinburgh Swing Dance Society) stared to show up. It was a workshop, so I danced from 12-5:30, and was so sore afterwards. They had flown in an instructor from London- who was amazing, and in the first class they were short one lead, so we actually got to dance with him. (If anyone is interested, I'd be glad to elaborate on what we covered). Everyone was really nice, and I had a really good time with it. Definately places this scene above Nottingham! Walked back to the hostel- picked up some soup, shortbread and oatcakes for dinner. Read for the rest of the evening- could not find the energy to get up and do something. Did talk with Maria and Emma (two of the Irish girls) for a while- so sweet!
