Caernarfon Castle
Had a wonderful breakfast at the hostel (my love of toast is serving me well), then went to the tourist office and got directions to Llanbeblig Cursh (at the top of the hill in town), where my family used to get married. It's a very pretty, small church, but has fallen into a bit of disrepair. Met Merion Hughes (an old man who has been doing geaneology research for my mom) at the archives, and did a bit of review. He is going to take me to Beaumaris tomorrow to look at baptism records. After that I headed over to the castle for a very nice tour- it's just mind-bloggling inside. It feels very odd- fortified to the extreme, but empty. Picked up some wonderful presents for those at home (not saying who or what), then checked my email. Got some of the pictures mom had wanted (in the short time it was sunny) then headed to Molly's Restaurant for dinner. Two really nice English girls (Rachel and Emma, from 30 min west of London) ended up inviting me to sit with them. So I had a really pleasant meal with them, dropped my leftovers at the hostel, then back to the B&B for some tv and a bit of letter writing.
