So, this is the view I have been raving about from my balcony (in a picture I stole from Andrea's webshots page, just like all of the other pictures I've been putting up). However, I cannot currently access my wonderful view, as the door to our patio is stuck. As Julie put it "They can't give you something like this and then take it away...I bet there is someone watching this on a camera somewhere to see how long it takes us to kill someone." It makes me very sad, as we finally have been getting some rain, and I would have loved watching it, but I can't. But at least now you can see why I was empasizing how cool it is. The rest of today consisted of going to classes, then hanging out with a girl from Manhatten afterwards (whose name I cannot currently remember, but I know starts with a vowel and is Columbian- I think) and buying a skirt (not only have I managed to tear my favorite skirt- repairable, I just lack the tools here- but the saldi [twice yearly, MAJOR sales] have started here, and I felt the need to take advantage- don't worry Mom, I didn't go crazy). Met up with Julie at the internet Corner place, and we ended up going to the discount grocery store for veggies. The rest of the evening consisted of me making a really good dinner (tortellini filled with porcini mushrooms in a tomato/basil sauce with onions, button mushrooms, green and yellow pepper, and zucchine), eating too much of it, then going to bed rediculously early to try to make up for this weekend.
My attempt to keep a semi up to date log of my life, travels, and forays into gardening, green living, home decoration and whatever else catches my fancy.
