Biglietti
I think today went pretty well, I'm getting into the swing of things. Had the same classes as yesterdat, but double the people (which neither of the professors were happy about). Had lunch with some very nice girls from South Korea (very stilted conversation in Italian, but it was fun), did the email thing in the lab, then went to meet people to buy Tony Bennet tickets, but Grazia was there early, so we just went into the group meeting right away. Turns out all but one of the people above me are moving down a level, which puts Julie in my class (yay!). We went to buy tickets for a trip this weekend, €100 for: a bus that leaves Sat morning at 5:45 (yuck) for Pompeii, then on to Naples (includes dinner, hotel and breakfast), bus/ferry (not sure which) to Capri for the day, and a late return Sun night. This was followed (finally!) by the purchase of the Tony Bennet and Count Basie Orchestra tickets (only €12!). Went to the internet corner, then back to the apartment for some dinner (not very satisfying- note to other travellers, the Hostess cake-like snacks made by Kinder aren't very good). Did some homework- had to read a thing on the usage of certain verbs in the recent past tense and write about the climate/geography of America. And now it looks like it is going to rain like crazy!
