Meeting the Irish?

Woke up this morning early and threw in a load of laundry, had breakfast and started to pack for the trip to Edinburgh. My timing was off, so I ended up carrying slightly damp clothes cross country. Maggie drove me to Chesterfield, where I caught a train to York, then switched to one fo Edinburgh (after another dissapointing muffin). Got into the Edinburgh station (Waverly) at about 4P10, so I wandered down Prince St (the main shopping drag) and eventually found my hostel to drop off my stuff (the Caledonian Backpackers). Wandered a little (found the Prince St Gardens, which are some amazing public gardens smack dab in the middle of town, and had a pizza about a block away from the hostel) then came back and did a bit of catch-up with my email, then hung out in the hostel bar for most of the night (called The Swamp) and met two separate sets of Irish girls from Cork. Odd, no? The music was awful, and got worse as the night progressed, so I eventually escaped and crashed.
