Flying into Italy!

Woke up at 4:30, was out of the hostel and to the bus stop by 5:30, caught the next bus into the Liverpool airport. May have been a bit hasty- had to wait 50 minutes for them to open check in. Had a really nice chocolate muffin (breakfast at the hostel was white bread and marmalade, neither of which I like), then read really trashy gossip magazines. Boarded around 9:20 (got to actually walk out on the tarmack, which was cool) and was seated next to a really nice Irish couple on their 10th anniversary trip. Got into Treviso around 1 (local time) and took the bus to the Mestre station, from which I walked to the Hotel Belvedere in Marghera. Wandered a bit, but there isn't a huge amount there. Got myself a cornetto and a couple of nectarines from a fruit vendor and a really nice crusty roll from a breadmaker. Came back to the hotel and hung out on the balcony for a while with a Brit and a girl from North Carolina. They went down to the train station, so I just read guidebooks and am heading to bed.
