Shopping!

So today, Lindsey had a birthday party to go to, so I ended up off by myself for the day. I took the tube in to London, tried to find Smithfield's food market- but I think I went the wrong direction from the station, and went looking for the Sir John Soane Museum (Lisa had recommeded it) but after I had circled the block it was supposed to be on twice, I gave up and walked over to Covent Garden to wander again (got a wonderful crepe there-mmmm, nutella!). Took the tube over to Picadilly Circus and then walked down Regent St (which has some amazing shops) to Oxford Circus (got a really cute skirt that should work really well for dancing- my criteria for all clothing these days). Took the tube from there to Notting Hill, and looked in all of the vintage shops. There is just an amazing volume of stuff to look at. Stopped for a coffee, and had the first decent muffin I've had since I got here- they're usually too much like a cupcake, but this one was lovely. Took the tube back to Lindsey's for a quick rest, then headed down to Oxford St to dance at the 100 Club, which had an amazing live band, and a great atmosphere- cute leads didn't hurt- and a really good class beforehand (but I'll let any other details be on a want to know basis) . Had a good 2-3 hours of dancing, then took the tube back home to crash.

forgot to mention that the West Ham United squad won their game today, and moved up to the Premier League. Lindsey's place is just a few blocks away, so it was really cool walking through the crowd on the way home.
