My attempt to keep a semi up to date log of my life, travels, and forays into gardening, green living, home decoration and whatever else catches my fancy.
25.5.05
32 hours and counting
Ok, haven't written in a while (blame it on the habit of ignoring the computer at my mom's). To catch up: I've finished the semester, moved out of the dorm and went back to Mom's for a week. Now for the fun news: my visa finally worked out, so yesterday (May 23) I boarded my plane (after a 40 minute delay) and headed off to England. Spent the red-eye flight tossing and turning, but got to Gatwick at 10 am local time. Took the train to Bedford, switched and took a train to Nottingham, switched and took a train to Mansfield (all the way fighting off sleep) where Uncle Danny and Aunt Maggie picked me up. We hung out at their house for the afternoon (made plans, it looks like I'll be in London with Lindsey(cousin) for the weekend) then went over to Reese's (cousin) house to see Josh (the baby). Then off to No. 4 Wood Street for an amazing, but HUGE dinner (finished with a delicious chocolate turrein, which I couldn't stop eating, even though I was way too full). Finally, after about 32.5 waking hours, I'm off to bed!
