Milwaukee

Ok, Sat was a nice slow day (ice cream for breakfast, etc.)where I didn't get anything done until 2:30, when Paul picked up me and Jacq for the Milwaukee Exchange. So we drove to Milwaukee (got a nice little tour of the city cause we had extra time) and from 4:15-6:30 we did a Lindy Bomb in front of the Calatrava (which is gorgeous) and it was really fun (having cars honk as they go past is major encouragement, but dancing on concrete sucks!). Then we had dinner at the Ale House (really good, filling veggie pizza), followed by a dance at UWM which had great leads and a really crappy band (I don't care what you say, Jump Jive 'n Wail cannot be done as a country song). Got a ride home with Ryan, and now off to bed.

Oh, compliments from dancing: this guy who did a lot of stuff I had never done before said that I followed well, and one of the leads (who apparently has run some workshops) encouraged me to go to stuff this summer and gave me a really cool move where I swing around under his arm (although I'll probably never be able to do it again). Another cool thing, one of the leads did a little lift at the end of a song (onto his hip), and another made me do a really low dip (which was cool, but really worked my thighs).
