50's Night

Woke up at 9:30, well rested and unable to enjoy the fact that I could go back to sleep. So was out of bed before 10. Spent most of the day working on my paper for ILS, which I got a pretty decent draft banged out on (probably just review and edit tomorrow, since that's all I'll have time for). Wrote a practice composition for Italian, watched TV, ate too much for dinner (the Sunday night ritual). Then a drastic change: I went out dancing at the East Side Men's Business Association with Jumptown. Basically, we Lindy Bombed the place, which was really cool: almost all the regulars showed up, I got to dance with a couple leads that I don't dance with often (like Ken and tall John) although I didn't get to dance as much as I would have liked. Had a couple of comments worth noting: Niles said something about not needing to hurry- that he would wait for me (I assume it's cause I tend to do really fast turns), and Ken commented that I looked very serious for a minute (which is something I've heard before, so I really need to try not to do that when I am actually having fun). The band was exponentially better than last night (which wouldn't have been hard, but they really had some good stuff), so it made for a really fun night (helped along by the fact that Rachel said she would tape Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy for me!)
