What do you do with an English major?

You work at Starbucks, of course! :) A quick update on my life: I'm working for Starbucks as a barista (one of the many there for the insurance- I'm pretty sure that's the main reason they have a workforce), and for a wonderful company called Happy Tails as a dogwalker. Can you guess which one of the jobs is my favorite? You will never find someone more excited to see you than a dog that knows it's about to go on a walk!
In other news, I just finished my application for the JET Progam, where I would be teaching English in Japan. That's right. Japan. Have I ever been to Asia? No. Do I speak Japanese? No. Did I ever expect to teach? No. Am I incredibly excited for this combination of travel and teaching? YES! I'd get to help share my culture, and I'd get to really learn about one that is so different from my own. I won't even hear if I've made it to interviews for a couple of months, but it's really nice to know that my application is finally in.
Still involved with dancing, and using it as an excuse to travel: I went back to visit in Madison for the last Invasion at the beginning of the month, and am heading to Atlant a for Swing & Soul in a couple of weeks (already gearing up for what will be an amazing weekend-long party!). Also, starting to make plans for a trip to England (and FRANCE!) in the new year. In other words, things are going well :)
