Perugia, finalmente!

Woke up at 7, was out of the hostel by 8, had a wonderfully healthy colazione (breakfast) of popcorn, iced tea (lemon and peach) and a nutella snack. Got on the Eurostar to Florence, where I transfered to a regional train to Perugia. Got off at the wrong stop in Perugia, so I ended up taking a bus though town, which was great, because it's an Umbrian hill town, and the views are gorgeous. Got help from the shopkeepers at United Colors of Benetton for finding my hostel, then wandered a bit. Got back to the hostel around 4 , where I ran into Leigh and Joe from the program. Leigh and I went shopping and I finally found myself a new purse (the strap on the old one was almost in two pieces) and on the way back we ran into Julie and a girl she had met named Vanessa. Hung out in the hostel for a while (where Becky and Mike were added to our group), then went out to dinner at a cute little place with outdoor seating (I had a really nice ricotta and spinach ravioli). We went to the cheapest gelateria (I had scouted ahead), then wandered up to the steps near the Fontana Maggiore to hang out and people watch.
