Harlem Hot-Shots Day 1
Woke up at 8, and started getting ready for the Harlem Hot-shots workshop (you know, the one I've been looking forward to for MONTHS). Headed out, stopped at Notting Hill to get some of those muffins I liked (coffee republic), then went over to the South Kensington station. Had to walk a couple of blocks to get to the school, through what turned out to be a very swish shopping area (Chanel had a store) but actually had a reasonably priced sushi bar. Got myself a box of sushi for lunch and ate it in the school courtyard. We started classes at 2, and they went until 6:30: very good, but not enough on technique (apparently only Americans want to focus on that, whereas the Brits want to focus on getting moves). Broke for dinner (had a little more sushi), then the dance at Metropolis. It went really well, had a performance by the HotShots, which was amazing! and then one of them (David) actually asked me to dance! So I got to dance a whole song with a Harlem Hot Shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Totally made my night. Left around 1:30, got back to Lindsey's and had to place a quick call to Mom to tell her all about it.
